How do I play?

Watch the play (the team talk tells you which colour you're wearing). When it freezes, pick what the highlighted player should do. The coach then explains why the best option beats the others, and the play carries on from your choice.

How do I practise one position or type of question?

Tap ⚙︎ (Settings). Choose a position, a question type (on the ball, off the ball, defending, set pieces) and your team's defensive style. Changes apply from the next situation.

What do the coaches change?

Each coach has a philosophy (positional play, gegenpressing, wing play and more). They give the coaching point in their own words, and on close calls they prefer the option that fits their style. Coach Sam is free. You can try any other coach for five decisions before unlocking them: in the apps or on the website, as a one-time purchase.

I bought a coach and it hasn't appeared

Tap your coach's face at the top, then Restore purchases. The app asks the store what your Apple ID or Google account owns, so a reinstall or a second device gets your coaches back. On the website, sign in with the same Google account and tap Restore purchases. If it still doesn't appear, email us from the account you bought it on and we'll sort it out.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The app works fully offline. It goes online to buy a coach or restore purchases, and to send the anonymous usage counts when it can.

How do I turn the sound off?

Tap ⚙︎ and switch Sound off.

Is there advertising?

No, and the game collects nothing that identifies you. See the privacy page.
